World-weary traveller, this is your homecoming. Our renovated cottage offers two intimate studios – Morning Bird and Heartland – each with a private entrance, bedroom, bathroom and kitchen. Heartland is a spacious cook’s dream (and accessible), Morning Bird invites contemplation. Side-by-side sanctuaries for togetherness with space to breathe. Set between orchards and forest, find French doors opening to gardens, twin claw-foot tubs under stars, where birdsong beckons delight.

Guest access

When booking the whole cottage, you have exclusive access to both Heartland and Morning Bird Studios. The apartments are separated by two sets of jarrah doors with space between for privacy. You can open the connecting doors to link the spaces or keep them closed for separate areas within your group.

You can use: both apartments, garden areas immediately around the cottage, twin clawfoot bathtubs in garden (bring bathers) and the single tub on the Morning Bird deck. Guest laundry facilities are in a nearby building (map provided). Other things to note

Stellar Violets sits between forest and orchards, 6km from Manjimup town centre. The gardens are established around the cottage, while areas beyond are open fields with new plantings underway – your stay helps restore this land.

You’ll encounter small birds (wrens, finches, honeyeaters, silver eyes) in the gardens. Garden apartment is designed to be accessible – we welcome feedback to improve access further. Perfect for groups wanting togetherness with space to breathe.
